Summary: Scape AI Home Renovation (“Scape”) creates AI-generated visualizations of remodel ideas from photos of your rooms. To make a design, the photos and the description you write are sent to our server and to Google’s Gemini API for processing. We do not keep your photos, your descriptions or your designs on our servers: your design history is stored only on your device. Your credits and purchases belong to your account on our server. We do not sell your personal data. You can delete your account at any time from within the app.
Scape AI Home Renovation is provided by Alysia Anderson, an individual (“we”, “us”). It is an Android app that turns photos of your space and a written description into AI-generated visualizations of possible remodels, for personal, non-commercial use.

When you first open the app, it creates an anonymous Firebase account for you automatically. No email address or other personal information is required. As a guest you can take or choose photos and prepare a design, but you need to sign in to receive credits or buy them, and credits are needed to create a design.
You can sign in with your Google account. When you do, your guest account is upgraded to a Google-linked account. Firebase Authentication (a Google service we use) receives your email address, display name and profile photo from Google and keeps them in your sign-in record. We use them only to sign you in and to identify your account if you contact us. We do not copy them into our database. Google Sign-In is currently the only sign-in method.
When you add a photo of your room, a reduced copy is sent over HTTPS to our server, which passes it to Google’s Gemini API to check that it is suitable (for example, that it does not contain explicit content) and whether it shows people. The result is returned to the app. The photo is not stored by us.
When you tap to create a design, the app sends to our server over HTTPS:
Our server sends these to Google’s Gemini API, together with our own instructions, and returns the AI-generated design to your device. Our server handles your photos and description in memory only while the request is being processed. We do not save them to a database, to file storage or to our logs.
Google’s processing: Google processes this content as our service provider under the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service. We use the paid Gemini API service; under those terms Google does not use this content to improve its products, but may keep it for a limited period to detect abuse and comply with law. See Google’s terms for details.
For each design request, our server keeps a short technical record so we can manage credits, refund failed renders and detect abuse: your account ID, the time, the outcome (success or the type of error), how long it took, the number of photos, the quality setting and your credit balance afterward. It does not contain your photos, your description or the design. These records are deleted automatically after 90 days, or sooner when you delete your account. A short-lived record that prevents the same request from being charged twice is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Our server logs contain technical information such as your account ID, the requested address, the time, error messages and the length of your description (not its text). Logs are kept for 30 days.
Your designs, and copies of the room photos they were made from, are saved only on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers or our database.
You can report any design you find offensive, inappropriate or misleading using the flag button on the design screen. A report contains your account ID, the reason you chose, the time and a reference to the design’s location on your device. The design image itself is not sent. We use reports to review and improve the safety of the service. Reports are kept for moderation; when you delete your account, your account ID and the device reference are removed from your reports.
New accounts that sign in with Google can claim free credits once. To limit abuse, earlier versions of our service stored your Android device ID linked to your account when you claimed free credits. Any such record is deleted when you delete your account.
We do not use your photos or descriptions for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.
Our server and database are located in the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
In the app, go to Settings, then Delete Account & Data. This permanently deletes your account, your sign-in record (including the email address, name and photo from Google), your credit balance and your design request records, and clears the design history on that device. Any remaining credits are lost and cannot be restored. Purchase records are kept for 7 years, unlinked from your account. RevenueCat keeps its own records under its privacy policy. See Delete Your Account for details.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to correct your data, to restrict or object to its processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. We process your data to provide the service you asked for (contract), to prevent fraud and keep the service secure (legitimate interests) and to meet legal obligations.
